Massachusetts convenience store sells winning Powerball ticket
A Powerball ticket sold at a Bellingham convenience store this week won a player $50,000 in Saturday night’s drawing.
The ticket was purchased at Hilltop Farms on Pulaski Boulevard.
The players selected numbers matching four of the first five white ball numbers and the Powerball number in the game’s Aug. 22 drawing. Odds of winning $50,000 — the game’s third-highest prize — are 1 in 913,129.
Saturday night’s winning numbers were 13, 31, 54, 57 and 65, with Powerball number 23. There were no jackpot winners, bringing the game’s top prize to an estimated $81 million as of Sunday morning.
Overall, at least 588 prizes were won or claimed in Massachusetts on Aug. 22, including 5 in Springfield, 7 in Worcester and 17 in Boston.
The Massachusetts State Lottery releases a full list of winning tickets every day. The list only includes prizes worth more than $600.
