Two Dorset residents win over £1m on National Lottery

The first winner, a carer in her 70s, won £102,286.90 by matching five main numbers and a Lucky Star on EuroMillions on June .

The lucky lady often buys a ticket when there is a mega jackpot and had won a Lucky Dip ticket in a previous draw that ended up being her winning ticket.

Speaking about her win, she said: “It’s absolutely mind-blowing… I still can’t believe it! “I have never won such a huge amount in my life.

“I plan to save most of the money for my retirement fund, but I might treat myself to a new car!”

The second winner, a plumbing and heating worker, won £1M on a Mega Cashword Scratchcard on July 17.

Speaking about his win, the keen football fan said: “It’s amazing having this money behind me, and knowing my children will have a comfortable future!”
