Two Powerball players won $50,000 after buying winning tickets in Western Washington, according to lottery officials.
They matched four white balls and the red Powerball in the Saturday, Aug. 8 drawing, according to Washington’s Lottery.
In the same drawing, a Powerball player in Eastern Washington won $150,000. The next day, a Hit 5 player in Western Washington won $420,000.

Where were the winning WA Powerball tickets sold?
The two winning $50,000 tickets were both purchased at stores in Western Washington.
One winner bought their ticket at the Jacksons at 13138 Interurban Ave. South in Tukwila. Another bought their ticket at the Safeway at 14826 Highway 99 in Lynnwood.
The Eastern Washington player who purchased a Power Play add-on to triple their win bought their ticket in Yakima, and Sunday’s Hit 5 winner bought their ticket in Burien.
What were the winning Powerball numbers?
The winning numbers in Saturday’s Powerball drawing were 5, 9, 35, 54 and 63 with a red Powerball of 7, according to Washington’s Lottery.
The odds of winning the $50,000 base prize are one in 913,000, according to the lottery.
How does the Powerball lottery game work?
Powerball tickets are $2 a piece.
For an extra dollar, players can multiply their winnings up to 10 times through the Power Play add-on. Each drawing has a random multiplier available.
To participate in Powerball, players pick five numbers between 1 and 69, and one Powerball number between 1 and 26.
