Powerball jackpot climbs to $707 million ahead of Saturday drawing

SOUTH CAROLINA (WPDE) — The Powerball jackpot has grown to $707 million, making Saturday night’s drawing the largest jackpot of 2026, according to the South Carolina Education Lottery.

The jackpot has been rolling since Christmas Eve, when a player in Arkansas won a $1.8 billion Powerball jackpot.

In Wednesday night’s drawing, nearly 17,000 South Carolina players won prizes, lottery officials said.

Players have until 9:59 p.m. Saturday to purchase $2 Powerball tickets for the drawing, which is scheduled for 10:59 p.m.
