Wake Forest man’s $1 Cash 5 tickets yields $685K jackpot

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) — A Wake Forest man won the top prize in the lottery’s Cash 5 drawing.

Vincent Ximines bought a $1 quick pick ticket online and won a $685,796 jackpot.

The big win came in the June 21 drawing. The odds of matching all five balls in Cash 5, which Ximines did, are 1 in 962,598.

He claimed his prize on Tuesday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. After required federal and state tax withholdings, Ximines took home $493,842.
