$3M Mega Millions ticket sold at Warminster Wawa as jackpot climbs to $576 million
Winning ticket matched all five white balls in Friday’s drawing; prize must be claimed within one year
Someone in Bucks County woke up Saturday a multimillionaire after a $3 million Mega Millions ticket was sold at a Warminster Township convenience store for Friday night’s drawing.
The Pennsylvania Lottery announced that the winning ticket was purchased at the Wawa at 10 Davisville Road.
The ticket matched all five white balls drawn, 5, 9, 29, 47 and 57, but missed the Mega Ball 16, making it worth $3 million, less applicable tax withholdings.
The Warminster Wawa will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
Lottery officials said winners are not known until prizes are claimed and tickets are validated. Players who purchased Mega Millions tickets for the July 3 drawing are encouraged to check their numbers, as more than 13,400 Pennsylvania Lottery Mega Millions tickets won prizes of varying amounts statewide.
The $3 million prize winner has one year from the drawing date to claim the ticket. Lottery officials recommend that the ticket holder immediately sign the back of the ticket to help establish ownership before claiming the prize.

The winning ticket was sold as the Mega Millions jackpot continues to grow. No ticket matched all six numbers Friday, sending the jackpot for the Tuesday, July 7 drawing to an estimated $576 million annuity, or about $253.9 million as a lump-sum cash option.
Mega Millions is played in 45 states, along with Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. In Pennsylvania, lottery proceeds support programs benefiting older adults, including transportation services, prescription assistance, senior centers and home care programs
