Community food project approved with £20k funding

Cegin Teifi, based in Cardigan, has received £20,000 from The National Lottery Awards for All programme to support its community meals and a new community fridge.
Cleo and Sophie from Cegin Teifi said: “We are delighted to be able to deliver regular community meals following the successful pilot meals last year.
“We hope to bring the whole community together to share delicious food, celebrate local produce and to help build new connections.
“It’s a real boost for the town.”
Cegin Teifi is holding a drop-in session at 4pm on Tuesday, July 7, in the Radley Room at the Guildhall in Cardigan to share more about the project and encourage community involvement.
The group is currently seeking volunteers to support both the community meals and the fridge.
Roles are open for a variety of responsibilities, including public-facing positions, working from home, and membership of the advisory committee.
Cegin Teifi is a partnership between the organisations Ein Cegin and Ffynnon to create opportunities to access healthy food and social events, and to support a thriving local food system.
If you have even just one hour a month to spare, those interested in getting involved can contact Cegin Teifi by phone at 07356 215614 or by email at ceginteifi@gmail.com.
