Mega Millions winning numbers are in for the Friday, July 3 for a jackpot that topped more than half a billion dollars at $542 million ($242 million cash option).
There was no Mega Millions winner, so Californians hoping to strike it rich will get another chance at the next drawing Tuesday, July 7. The jackpot has climbed to $576 million (cash option $253.9 million).
There was no jackpot winner in California, but there were 46,624 winning tickets, according to the California Lottery. At least one Californian is tens of thousands of dollars richer, so check your tickets.
Only two jackpots have been hit so far in 2026, with the last win on St. Patrick’s Day, when an Ohio ticket took $60 million. If a player wins, they can choose either a lump-sum cash option or annuity payments that increase by 5% each year.
Meanwhile, California lottery players dreaming of a life of luxury will get another shot at a multimillion-dollar prize after the Powerball jackpot rose to $396 million for the Saturday, July 4 drawing.
