Woman wins $100,000 from ticket purchased in Donaldsonville
A Baton Rouge woman won $100,000 from a Powerball ticket purchased last month in Donaldsonville, the Louisiana Lottery Corporation announced.
According to a news release, Tonnell Nelson matched four of the five white ball numbers and the Powerball number during the June 24 drawing.
She also bought the Power Play option for an additional dollar, which doubled the winnings, per the release.
Nelson purchased the ticket from the Murphy USA store located at 36500 Highway 3089 in Donaldsonville.
After claiming the prize June 29 at the lottery’s headquarters in Baton Rouge, she received $73,000 after state and federal tax withholdings
