16 Winners Split Lotto Jackpot, Each Takes 1.77 Billion Won
Dong Haeng Lottery announced Saturday that the numbers “3, 8, 9, 22, 28, 42” were selected as the first-prize winning numbers in the 1,230th lotto draw. The second-prize bonus number is “45.”
Sixteen first-prize winners matched all six winning numbers, with each taking home 1,771,360,000 won. There were 90 second-prize winners who matched five winning numbers plus the bonus number, each receiving 52.48 million won, and 3,336 third-prize winners who matched five winning numbers, each receiving 1.42 million won. There were 168,902 fourth-prize winners (fixed prize of 50,000 won) and 2,770,957 fifth-prize winners (fixed prize of 5,000 won).
Among this week’s 16 first-prize winners, 15 used automatic number selection and one used manual selection. The winning locations were four in Seoul, five in Gyeonggi, two in Daejeon, two in North Chungcheong, two in North Gyeongsang, and one in Ulsan.
The 15 automatic-selection retailers included Bokkwon Manhwa (Seocho-gu, Seoul), Spa (Nowon-gu, Seoul), Daebak Bokkwonbang (Gwangjin-gu, Seoul), Madu Station Northbound Stand (Goyang, Gyeonggi), and Wolcheok Bokkwonbang (Yongin, Gyeonggi). The manual selection was made at one retailer, Lotto Gieop (across from the complex terminal in Dong-gu, Daejeon).
Through this 1,230th draw, the cumulative number of first-prize winners stands at 10,458, and the highest prize amount on record is 40,722,959,400 won. The deadline for claiming prize money is one year from the start date. First-prize winners can claim at the NH NongHyup Bank headquarters, second- and third-prize winners at each branch, and fourth- and fifth-prize winners at retailers nationwide. Prize money not claimed within the deadline is incorporated into the lottery fund under the Lottery Fund Act and used as a financial resource for public-interest projects.
