The search is on for Ireland’s latest Lotto winner
One lucky Lotto player here in Cork has scooped an impressive six-figure prize in last night’s draw, and the search for the latest Rebel winner is now underway.
The player matched all six numbers and the bonus in the Lotto Plus 2 draw to claim the jackpot of €250,000. The winning combination was 6, 8, 16, 27, 28, 47 and bonus 35.
Punters across Cork are being urged to check their tickets carefully this morning, as the winner has yet to come forward and may not even know they have a big win. Lotto bosses have confirmed that the winning ticket was purchased in Cork, but have yet to confirm the exact location of the purchase.
The winner is being urged to contact the National Lottery claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie to arrange the collection of the prize.
Elsewhere in tonight’s draw, there was no winner of the €4,771,077 jackpot prize for the main draw, and the most won was €1,639 scored by 13 players who matched five of the six winning numbers.
The Lotto Plus 2 jackpot also went unclaimed, but 13 players will get €500 each for matching five of the six numbers. Meanwhile, there were 56 winners of the Raffle Prize worth €500 each.
A National Lottery spokesperson said: “There was no winner of the Lotto jackpot. In total, over 58,000 players won prizes in the Lotto and Lotto Plus draws. There was no winner of the Lotto Plus 1 top prize. There was one winner of the Lotto Plus 2 top prize. The winning ticket was sold in Cork.”
