Miami, Clermont, and Cocoa residents among Florida Lottery’s February big winners

MIAMI, Fla. (CBS12) — The Florida Lottery announced several major winners across the state for February 2026, with residents from South Florida to Central Florida claiming multimillion-dollar prizes in both draw and Scratch-Off games.
Leading the list is Primitivo Batista, 61, of Clermont, who won the $21.5 million FLORIDA LOTTO jackpot from the Feb. 4, 2026, drawing. Batista claimed his prize on Feb. 9 at the Lottery’s Orlando District Office and chose to receive his winnings as a one-time lump-sum payment of $11.7 million. He purchased his winning ticket at BJ’s Wholesale Club on U.S. Highway 27 in Clermont, according to the news release.
In Miami-Dade County, the Florida Lottery said that another big win came from Montrez Harris, 53, of Miami, who claimed a $5 million top prize from the 200X THE CASH Scratch-Off game. Harris picked up his winnings at Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee on Feb. 13 and opted for a one-time lump-sum payment of $2,779,400. His winning ticket was purchased at a Raceway store on Northwest 183rd Street in Miami Gardens.

According to lottery officials, Winters claimed her prize at the Orlando District Office on Feb. 18 and chose a lump-sum payment of $638,100. Her winning ticket was purchased at a Publix store on Murrell Road in Rockledge.

Scratch-Off games also continue to produce significant winners statewide. The $20 200X THE CASH game offers players a chance at a $5 million top prize, with more than 6.9 million winning tickets and over $313 million in total cash prizes. Meanwhile, the $50 GOLD RUSH MULTIPLIER game features two $25 million top prizes and 60 $1 million prizes, with more than $1.2 billion in total prizes and overall odds of 1-in-4.09.
Under Florida law, lottery winners’ names and cities of residence are considered public record and may be released by the Lottery after 90 days.
