The National Lottery Lotto jackpot bubble burst on Saturday with a £10.6m quadruple rollover winner, so the top prize tonight (Wednesday, October 8) falls back to the £2m baseline.

But while £2m is a lot less than £10.6m, nobody would be disappointed if their six numbers matched the balls drawn tonight to win the jackpot.

Banking £2m would more than sort out the finances and kick start some first-class living.

Wednesday update

One ticket holder won the £2m Lotto jackpot, making it the second time in a row that the top prize has been won.

It comes after a player won the £10.6 million prize in the draw on Saturday, October 4.

Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, said: “What a night for Lotto players, as a lucky ticket holder has bagged the £2 million jackpot in tonight’s Lotto draw.

“Luck is in the air for Lotto players, as that now makes it two Lotto jackpot wins in just a few days, after another lucky player landed the £10.6 million jackpot in last Saturday’s draw.”

There was no winner of the £500,000 jackpot in the Wednesday Thunderball draw.

It costs £2 per ticket to play for the Lotto.

You can buy a ticket throughout the week, but on draw days – Saturday and Wednesday – until 7.30pm.

The Thunderball draw takes place every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
