There is a £2m jackpot and a £500,000 top prize in Thunderball tonight

The big money has been on the EuroMillions but nobody would turn their nose up at winning £2m on the National Lottery Lotto draw tonight (Wednesday, August 13).

As the end of summer approaches, many people’s thoughts will be turning to the darker evenings and colder weather – even though the heatwave may make some feel that’s a tempting prospect.

You’ll need all six main numbers to stake a claim. Get five and the bonus ball, and you’re £1m better off.

What happened on Wednesday?

Saturday’s lottery jackpot will be an estimated £3.9m after no players won Wednesday’s top prize.

No ticket holders won £1 million by matching five of the six numbers plus the bonus ball.

No Thunderball ticket holders won £500,000 by matching all five numbers plus the Thunderball.

Two players matched all five regular numbers, which earned them £5,000 each.

It costs £2 per ticket to play for the Lotto. You can buy a ticket throughout the week, but on draw days – Saturday and Wednesday – until 7.30pm.
