RTI 1 is a television channel public general Ivorian emits continuously from Abidjan
Ivorian television was born on August 7, 1963 , of the will of the President of the Republic Felix Houphouët-Boigny who wants to make it an instrument of development.
Following the launch of a second television channel , Canal 2 , on 9 December 1983 , the former single television channel of the RTI was renamed La Première.
During the Ivoirian crisis of 2010-2011 , the chain becomes propaganda of the outgoing president Laurent Gbagbo . She briefly interrupts its broadcast of 31 to 1 stApril and again from 4 toFollowing attacks by the Forces nouvelles of Côte d’Ivoire , the bombing of UNOCI and the Force Licorne allied to the president recognized by the international community, Alassane Ouattara . He himself created an equally propagandist television station called Télévision Côte d’Ivoire – TCI – which began broadcasting.
After broadcasting the TCI programming on April 11, 2011, Le , The channel is again broadcast with the RTI 1 logo by integrating the TCI teams with its staff. The programming of this one is general and institutional and thus differs from RTI 2 which proposes cultural programs 1 .
