Multiple Channels Disappear from Amos-17 Satellite at 17°E

A buyndle of channels have left from a Transponder of Amos 17

A major shift has occurred in satellite broadcasting over Africa, as more than 35 TV channels simultaneously disappeared from the Amos-17 satellite at 17° East orbital position at 06:10 CET .

The affected channels include religious, music, news, and entertainment services such as Canal 7 Gospel TV , RT France , Treasure TV Cameroon , Africa Muzik , Dash News , and many others. These channels were all transmitted using the same technical parameters on Amos-17.

The frequency used was 12251 MHz (Vertical polarization) with a symbol rate of 30,000 Msps , forward error correction FEC 3/4 , and modulation scheme DVB-S2/QPSK .

At this time, no official statement has been issued by the satellite operator or any of the broadcasters regarding the cause of the outage or whether the channels have moved to another satellite.
